Visceral Manipulation Therapy
Visceral manipulation therapy uses gentle, noninvasive techniques to encourage the body’s natural healing response, bring healthy function and movement back to the organs and optimize general metabolic functions. The modality is based on the idea that a healthy body is one in which organs are working harmoniously with each other. Injury, illness or displacement can put stress on the organs and cause them to stay in a fixed and rigid position. As the rest of the body tries to accommodate the organs, patients can suffer health problems, pain and inflammation, as well as decreased overall organ function and reduced mobility.
Visceral manipulation therapy often brings dramatic improvements to the overall well-being of the patient’s mind, body and spirit. Patients also report enhanced postural alignment and reduced muscle tension.
